Fuel policy specifies how much fuel must be in the tank of the rental vehicle at the time of pick-up and drop-off.
Examples of fuel policies include Full to Full, Full to Empty, and Same to Same. Full to Full means that if you pick up the car with a full tank of fuel, you should also return it with a full tank. With Full to Empty fuel policy, you pick up the car with a full tank of fuel and return it with an empty tank. Same to Same means that if you pick up the car with a fixed amount of fuel in the tank, you should also return the car with the same amount of fuel.
- If your fuel policy is Full to Empty or prepaid, you will have to pay for fuel when you pick up your rental vehicle.
